A Cannock stalker has been locked up for two years after launching a relentless harassment campaign against his victim. Zohaib Mehmood pleaded guilty to persistent harassment after bombarding the victim with a staggering 10,000 calls in just two months.

The sheer scale of Mehmood's obsession is striking. Over a two-month period, the Cannock man made an average of around 167 calls every single day. This relentless barrage left his victim under siege and paints a chilling picture of one man's dangerous fixation.

Mehmood has now begun his two-year prison sentence following his guilty plea. The case underlines how seriously courts take stalking and harassment offences in the Cannock area and beyond.

His conviction sends a stark warning to anyone considering similar behaviour. The courts will come down hard on those who pursue campaigns of harassment or obsession against others, with custodial sentences a very real possibility.

Local residents can take note that such serious offences will not be tolerated. Anyone experiencing similar harassment should report it to the police immediately.
