Cannock Chase Council is calling for residents to volunteer as chair and board members for a new Neighbourhood Board that will shape how £20 million in Government funding is spent over the next decade.
The funding comes from the Government's Pride in Place Programme, which gives communities greater control over decisions affecting their area. The investment amounts to £2 million annually and is targeted at West Chadsmoor, Broomhill and the Bevan Lee estate.
What the Board Will Do
The chair and board members will work together to create a 10-year plan based on what local people want to see improve. This ensures the community has a voice throughout the investment process.
How to Apply
People interested in applying should complete an expression of interest form. Paper copies are available at Broomhill Albion Working Mens Club, West Chadsmoor Family Centre and Moss Street Surgery.
A drop-in event will be held from 11.30am to 3.00pm on Tuesday 14 July 2026 at the Community Allotments, off Lovatt Place. The closing date for applications is midday on Monday 27 July 2026.
