Families across Cannock Chase are invited to enjoy six weeks of free summer activities as the Cannock Chase Can Kids Club Summer Festival returns for its third year.

The festival will visit different communities throughout the district each week, offering free arts and crafts, sporting games, gardening projects, nature-based activities and family challenges. Local performer Pep the Poet will make special appearances during the programme.

Part of wider health and wellbeing programme

The Summer Festival forms part of the Cannock Chase Can health and wellbeing programme run by Cannock Chase Council. The initiative aims to help children and young people stay active, healthy and happy during the school holidays while encouraging families to spend time together and try new experiences.

How to find activities and events

A Kids CAN Club flyer and digital booklet have been distributed to primary schools across the district. Printed copies are available from local libraries and include information on activities, events and family-friendly offers throughout the summer.

All activities are free to access and can be found on the Cannock Chase Can App, which allows families to discover opportunities near them and plan their summer.

Councillor Georgina Jeffery, Portfolio Leader for Community Safety and Wellbeing, said the festival provides a fantastic opportunity for children and families to enjoy free activities on their doorstep, and encouraged families to pick up a booklet, download the app and get involved.
